Jesus Christ IS the SON OF GOD

 

WE HAVE A “GREAT CLOUD OF WITNESSES” THAT SAY JESUS IS THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD!

​

Let us look at the “cloud of witnesses” (Hebrews 12:1) we have concerning who Jesus Christ is:

​

GOD THE FATHER – “This is MY BELOVED SON.” (Matthew 3:17)

​

JESUS CHRIST – “I AM THE SON OF GOD.” (John 10:36)

​

SATAN – “If thou be THE SON OF GOD, command that these stones be made bread.” (Matthew 4:3)

​

THE FALLEN ANGELS – “What have we to do with thee, JESUS, THOU SON OF GOD? art thou come hither to torment us before the time? (Matthew 8:29)

​

NEBUCHADNEZZAR – “Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like THE SON OF GOD.” (Daniel 3:25)

​

THE DISCIPLES – “Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, OF A TRUTH THOU ART THE SON OF GOD.” (Matthew 14:33) ... “we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD.” (John 6:69)

​

JOHN THE BAPTIST – “And I saw, and bare record that THIS IS THE SON OF GOD.” (John 1:34)

​

PAUL – “And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, THAT HE IS THE SON OF GOD.” (Acts 9:20) ... “For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; And to wait for HIS SON from heaven.” (1 Thess.1:9-10)

PETER – “And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD.”

(Matthew 16:16)

JOHN – “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, THE SON OF GOD; and that believing ye might have life through his name.' (John 20:31)

​

NATHANAEL – “Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, THOU ART THE SON OF GOD; thou art the King of Israel.” (John 1:49)

​

PHILIP AND THE EUNUCH – “And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that JESUS CHRIST IS THE SON OF GOD.” (Acts 8:37)

​

MARK – “The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, THE SON OF GOD.” (Mark 1:1)

​

THE CENTURION – “Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, TRULY THIS WAS THE SON OF GOD.” (Matthew 27:54)

So all these “witnesses” testify to the fact that Jesus Christ IS the SON OF God.

 

But the church leaders today REJECT these witnesses and say Jesus is NOT the true Son of God, and He is just “symbolically” the Son.

 

So the question is, WHO ARE YOU GOING TO TRUST?

 

God’s witnesses, or the church leaders today? ...

 

“AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD!!” (Joshua 24)

As for Adventists, there are even more witnesses to this fact that Jesus IS the LITERAL SON OF God ....

​

ADVENTIST PIONEERS - "If we take the liberty to say there is not a literal Ark, containing the ten commandments in heaven, we may go only a step further and DENY the literal City, and THE LITERAL SON OF GOD. Certainly, ADVENTISTS SHOULD NOT CHOOSE THE SPIRITUAL VIEW, rather than the one we have presented. We see no middle ground to be taken."

ELLEN WHITE - "The dedication of the FIRST-BORN HAD ITS ORIGIN IN THE EARLIEST TIMES. God had promised to GIVE THE FIRST-BORN OF HEAVEN to save the sinner." (Ellen G. White, Desire of Ages, p. 51) ... "God so loved the world, that he GAVE HIS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON,--not a son by creation, as were the angels, nor a son by adoption, as is the forgiven sinner, BUT A SON BEGOTTEN in the express image of the Father's person." (Ellen G. White, Signs of the Times, May 30, 1895)

JAMES WHITE - "The Father was greater than THE SON in that HE WAS FIRST. THE SON was equal with the Father in that he had RECEIVED all things from the Father."

A.T.JONES - "He was born of the Holy Ghost. In other words, JESUS CHRIST WAS BORN AGAIN. He came from heaven, GOD'S FIRST-BORN, to the earth, AND WAS BORN AGAIN. But all in Christ's work goes by opposites for us: he, the sinless one, was made to be sin, in order that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. He, the living one, the prince and author of life, died that we might live. He WHOSE GOINGS FORTH HAVE BEEN FROM THE DAYS OF ETERNITY, THE FIRST-BORN OF GOD, WAS BORN AGAIN, in order that we might be born again."

E.J.WAGGONER - "It is true that there are many sons of God, but Christ is the 'ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD,' AND THEREFORE THE SON OF GOD IN A SENSE IN WHICH NO OTHER BEING EVER WAS OR EVER CAN BE. The angels are sons of God, as was Adam (Job 38:7; Luke 3:38), by creation; Christians are the sons of God by adoption (Rom. 8:14, 15), but CHRIST IS THE SON OF GOD BY BIRTH. The writer to the Hebrews further shows that the position of the Son of God is not one to which Christ has been elevated but that it is one which He has by right." (E. J. Waggoner, Christ and His Righteousness, page 12, 1890)

"There was a time when CHRIST PROCEEDED FORTH AND CAME FROM GOD, from the bosom of the Father (John 8:42; 1:18), BUT THAT TIME WAS SO FAR BACK IN THE DAYS OF ETERNITY THAT TO FINITE COMPREHENSION IT IS PRACTICALLY WITHOUT BEGINNING."

J.G.MATTESON - "Christ is the only LITERAL SON OF GOD. The only begotten of the Father. John 1:14."

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses..” (Hebrews 12:1)

 

Let us BELIEVE in the word of these witnesses, which was inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ IS the SON OF the Living God! Praise His name!
